Another Aspect, Danish menswear between Copenhagen and Japan

Another Aspect builds a wardrobe in Copenhagen designed to be worn for years: shirts, jersey, trousers, denim, knitwear and tailoring conceived as everyday essentials rather than seasonal trends.

Founded in 2019, the brand works from familiar shapes and gradually refines them through proportion, fabric and construction. Much of the collection is produced in Europe, while its Made in Japan programme extends the same approach through Japanese fabrics and local manufacturing.

At AURA, we selected Another Aspect for its ability to make everyday clothing feel more considered without becoming complicated: understated garments that are easy to combine, with their difference revealed through fit, texture and detail.

01 Copenhagen, with everyday essentials as a starting point

Another Aspect was founded in Copenhagen in 2019 around a simple idea: start with the most familiar pieces in the menswear wardrobe and try to make them better.

Shirts, T-shirts, trousers, denim, knitwear, jackets and tailoring form a deliberately coherent wardrobe. The brand focuses on lasting silhouettes, easy proportions and garments designed to work together across collections.

Names such as Shirt 4.0, T-Shirt 3.0 or Suit Pants 2.0 reflect this approach: the same archetypes return while fabrics, proportions and construction continue to evolve.

02 Portugal, Italy and carefully selected fabrics

Another Aspect works with different manufacturers depending on the type of garment. Jersey, trousers and shirts are notably produced by selected workshops around Porto, Portugal, while knitwear and tailoring are developed with a family-run manufacturer in Florence with decades of experience.

The brand states that it works exclusively with recycled fibres, deadstock fabrics and organic materials. The aim is not to build a sustainability message around the finished product, but to integrate those choices directly into the fabric, the manufacturer and the expected lifespan of each garment.

This attention to materials is also why visually simple pieces often reveal much more character once worn.

03 Made in Japan

Alongside its European production, Another Aspect has been developing a Made in Japan line for several seasons. It revisits some of the brand's core pieces — shirts, jersey, overshirts and outerwear — through Japanese textiles and local manufacturers.

The programme does not change the language of Another Aspect. Instead, it pushes its interest in fabric, finishing and understated construction even further. The T-Shirt 3.0 JPN, Zip Sweat JPN and Overshirt JPN are good examples of this approach.

This connection with Japan also has a particular meaning for AURA: our first collaboration with Another Aspect, La Marinière, was produced in Japan using Japanese cotton jersey.
