Why we selected it

The same universal straight fit as the One Wash, in the 3-Year Wash version: an ozone wash that gives it, from day one, the look of jeans worn for three years (hence the name), without solvents and saving 80 to 90% of water. It's the faded blue of everyday jeans, on 13 oz two-ply denim woven in Nîmes like the whole range. The engraved buttons, the crocodile-stamped leather patch and the chain stitch at the hem are all still there. Clean faded jeans, made in Europe, with style but nothing overdone.

Why Aura selected it

Ateliers de Nîmes is a French denim brand created in Nîmes in 2014 on the initiative of Guillaume Sagot, alongside Anthony Dubos and Clément Payen.
The project was born from a desire to bring denim weaving back to where it all began: Nîmes, the city that gave its name to the most worn fabric in the world.
It is the only French jeans brand, and one of the few in the world, to weave its own denim. The organic cotton yarn, dyed with indigo, is woven in their Nîmes workshop on traditional looms.
Their twisted-yarn technique (two yarns twisted together) eliminates conventional sizing and saves around 20,000 litres of water per weaving run.
The garments are then made by a partner workshop in northern Portugal. Jeans and jackets, raw, washed or ecru: each piece tells the story of denim from its origins. Available in Rennes at Aura Store and on our online shop.
