To launch Spring/Summer 26, Aura Store presents “The Potatoes Dream”, a short film somewhere between dream and countryside.
In spring 2026, to launch the Spring/Summer 26 season, Aura Store unveiled “The Potatoes Dream”, its second short film. After the FW25 launch film, shot as a behind-the-scenes comedy, this one takes a different direction: a short piece of fiction, somewhere between the countryside and a mirage.
Here is the story of the film, the people who made it, and why we chose this format to present the season.
Why a short film, again
Since opening, we have wanted to keep working around art, alongside the selection. With FW25, we took a first step towards cinema. With SS26, we are truly stepping into short film.
The idea is simple: to show how much fashion matters in cinema, the seventh art. Clothing is part of the story; it dresses the characters and says something about them. Rather than photographing the season against a white background, we put it on screen.
The story
A man lives in the countryside with his family. One day, he sees a mirage: a woman appears, both radiant and dark. He wonders who she is, and he moves closer to her.
At the end, we realise he had fallen asleep while cutting potatoes. It was all a dream. Hence the title.
The people who made it
“The Potatoes Dream” is directed by TDRA, Aura’s art director, and Antonin. Styling was handled in-house, by Manolis and François, the store’s founders, and Julo.
