Tencel is made from eucalyptus trees, fast-growing and dense, grown on less fertile land. All production is done without pesticides or insecticides (unlike conventional cotton). Furthermore, the Tencel manufacturing process is closed-loop, meaning that 99% of the non-toxic solvent is recycled and reused within the system.
