Another Aspect is one of those brands whose wardrobe looks simple at first glance: a good t-shirt, a shirt, wide trousers, a cardigan, a coat. That is exactly where the idea lies. From Copenhagen, the label has been building since 2019 a wardrobe of familiar pieces it prefers to improve rather than replace every season. Aura Store is an Another Aspect stockist in Rennes and online, and the brand has been part of our selection since the store opened.
The garments carry almost technical names (Shirt 4.0, T-Shirt 3.0, Suit Pants 2.0) because Another Aspect works the way you would develop an object: same base, new fabric, corrected cut, refined detail. Alongside the pieces made in Europe, the brand also develops a Made in Japan line that reworks some of its essentials in Japanese fabrics, produced in Japan.

What is Another Aspect?
Another Aspect is a menswear brand founded in Copenhagen in 2019. Its starting point is not to invent a new men's wardrobe, but to revisit its archetypes: shirt, jeans, t-shirt, trousers, knitwear, jacket and tailoring.
The difference lies in how these pieces are worked. Silhouettes stay understated, colours are easy to combine and details are never showy. An element is not added simply to decorate the garment: it has to serve the cut, the use or the fabric.

It is a very Danish reading of clothing. Design has to be beautiful, but also functional. Suit trousers should be able to leave the suit. A shirt should work open, closed or under a knit. A t-shirt should have enough presence to be worn on its own.
This principle explains why Another Aspect collections feel less like a radical change every six months than a gradual evolution. The brand says it itself: around 60% of each collection carries over from the previous one, while the remaining 40% brings new fabrics, colours and refinements to the cuts.
Who founded Another Aspect?
Another Aspect was born from three Danish childhood friends: Daniel Brøndt, Anders Poulsen and Nicolaj Thomsen. They come from small coastal towns in the north of Denmark, where they met long before launching the label.
Their paths are different. Daniel and Anders trained in creative fields and worked in fashion, while Nicolaj Thomsen had a career as a professional footballer, notably with FC Copenhagen and FC Nantes. Daniel Brøndt spent time at Goods, a reference menswear store in Copenhagen, where he handled art direction and e-commerce. That is where, in his own words, he picked up the building blocks for starting Another Aspect.
The brand started in a small basement in the Vesterbro district, before opening a first store on Værnedamsvej in October 2021, then a 200 sqm flagship on Møntergade, in the centre of Copenhagen, in 2023.
This origin explains Another Aspect rather well: it is not a brand built around a star designer or a spectacular silhouette, but around a shared way of selecting, wearing and improving everyday clothes.
Why are the garments called 1.0, 2.0 or 3.0?
This is probably one of the most interesting things about Another Aspect.
The brand does not try to start from a blank page with each collection. It gradually builds a library of garments: Shirt 1.0, Shirt 2.1, Shirt 4.0, Shirt 5.0, T-Shirt 1.0, T-Shirt 3.0, Jeans 1.0, Jeans 4.0, Suit Pants 2.0, Coat 1.0. The collections themselves are numbered: Collection 9.0, for example, was Spring/Summer 2024.
A new version therefore does not necessarily mean the previous one was wrong. It can correspond to another cut, another proportion or an evolution in construction. The same bases can then come back in new fabrics or new colours.
The T-Shirt 3.0 is a good example. At Aura, it exists in GOTS organic cotton jersey made in Porto, with its contrasting flatlock stitching, and in a JPN version, knitted and made in Japan in a striped cotton-hemp jersey. Same model, same regular, slightly shortened cut, two fabrics and two origins. On the shirt side, the Shirt 2.1 in raw silk, the Shirt 4.0 in deadstock cotton and the Shirt 5.0 in linen are three readings of the same idea of an everyday shirt.
This is also why an Another Aspect wardrobe can be built gradually. Successive collections are designed to work together rather than to make the previous one obsolete.
Where are Another Aspect clothes made?
Another Aspect does not concentrate all of its production in one place. The brand chooses its workshops according to the product category and the fabric used, and the origin is stated on every product page at Aura.
A large part of the jerseys, trousers and shirts is made in Portugal, around Porto. Knitwear and tailoring come from a family-run workshop in Florence, Italy, in business for more than fifty years; the cotton polos are knitted in Prato and the denim is made in Urbania, in the Marche region. Several shirts (Shirt 2.1 in raw silk, Shirt 4.0 in deadstock cotton, Shirt 5.0 in linen) are made in Vilnius, Lithuania. Finally, the JPN line is knitted and made in Japan.
The fabrics come from recognised European mills and weavers: Manteco and Al.Ma in Italy, Albano Morgado in Portugal, Harris Tweed in Scotland, plus the Japanese fabrics of the JPN line.
At Aura, the Suit Pants 2.0 Grey Melange, for instance, are made in Porto in a fine Italian wool twill. Their wide, straight cut, pressed crease and knee-length lining sum up the way Another Aspect takes suit trousers out of their formal context.
The Polo Shirt 2.0 Light Grey Melange works another category: organic merino wool, mother-of-pearl buttons and knitting in Italy.
On the fabric side, Another Aspect says it favours recycled fibres, deadstock fabrics and organic materials: GOTS cotton for the jerseys and denim, RWS-certified merino for the Sweater 5.0, deadstock cashmere for the Coat 1.0. What matters most in the finished product is how long it gets worn: fabrics good enough and cuts understated enough to keep being worn for years.
Another Aspect Made in Japan
The Made in Japan line has become a full part of the Another Aspect wardrobe. It does not try to turn the Danish label into a Japanese brand: on the contrary, it takes its existing models and confronts them with other fabrics and another kind of craftsmanship.
The idea was born after the team discovered Japanese fabrics on a trip to Tokyo: rather than shipping the fabric, the brand chose to produce the garment locally. Since then, Another Aspect has made a small part of its wardrobe in Japan: t-shirts, sweats, shirts and overshirts.
At Aura, this line holds a special place.
The T-Shirt 3.0 JPN Grey Stripe is knitted and made in Japan in a dry-textured cotton-hemp jersey (72% cotton, 28% hemp), with irregular-finish stripes, a contrasting neckband and a regular, slightly shortened cut. It also comes in Black Stripe, Green Stripe and Brown/Ecru Stripe.
The Zip Sweat 1.0 JPN Ecru carries the jersey programme into a Japanese version, while the Overshirt 1.0 JPN Grey/Black Stripe, with its two-way zip placket and open chest pocket, bridges shirt and light jacket.
These are often the pieces where the Another Aspect philosophy reads best: a very simple shape, but enough work on the fabric, proportions and finishes for the piece never to look basic.

T-Shirt 3.0 JPN: the Japanese jersey
The T-Shirt 3.0 JPN is now one of the most recognisable references in the Japanese line. Its cut is regular but slightly shortened, with more structure than a classic t-shirt.
The striped versions available at Aura use a dry-handle Japanese jersey, in cotton or cotton-hemp depending on the colourway. The pattern is not perfectly mechanical: the stripes have an irregular finish reminiscent of certain vintage jerseys.

Shirt 4.0: the shirt turned everyday garment
The shirt has historically been at the heart of the Another Aspect wardrobe. The Shirt 4.0 Dark Grey, in deadstock cotton and made in Lithuania, illustrates this way of taking a classic garment and making it easier to wear: boxy cut, simple lines and a fabric with enough presence to work without a jacket.
It is a shirt you can wear neatly tucked into trousers, but also open over a t-shirt, as a mid-season overshirt. The point of Another Aspect is precisely not to impose a single reading.
Suit Pants 2.0: tailoring without stiffness
The Suit Pants 2.0 Grey Melange are one of the most interesting pieces for understanding the brand's tailoring.
They keep the codes of dress trousers (wool, pressed crease, button, hook and zip closure, jetted back pockets) but adopt a much wider, straight leg.
With a shirt and loafers, they stay dressed up. With a t-shirt and sneakers, they simply become a very good pair of wide trousers.
Zip Hoodie 1.0: the sweat treated as a real piece
The Zip Hoodie 1.0 Khaki is made in Porto in GOTS-certified organic cotton. The YKK zip runs up to the hood, the kangaroo pocket closes with a zipped placket and the heavy ribbed knit gives more structure than a classic hoodie.
It is exactly the kind of piece Another Aspect knows how to make interesting: nothing spectacular on paper, but good proportions, a good fabric and no gratuitous detail.
Polo Shirt 2.0: between shirt and knit
The Polo Shirt 2.0 Light Grey Melange is knitted in Italy in organic merino wool.
With its long sleeves, mother-of-pearl buttons, short placket and spread collar, it can replace a shirt when you want to keep a clean silhouette without going formal.
How does Another Aspect fit?
There is no single Another Aspect cut.
This matters, because a T-Shirt 3.0 JPN, a pair of Suit Pants 2.0 and a Shirt 4.0 are not looking for the same volume at all.
The JPN t-shirts are regular with a slightly shortened length. The polos and the Sweater 5.0 are regular. The Shirt 2.1, the Zip Hoodie 1.0, the Sweatshirt 3.0 and the Overshirt 1.0 JPN are relaxed. The Shirt 4.0 is boxy. The tailoring trousers (Suit Pants 2.0, Pants 6.0) are wide and straight, and the Jeans 4.0 are the widest in the denim range.
Useful reference: our model is 180 cm and 65 kg and wears a size M in Another Aspect t-shirts, polos and shirts, and a 30 in jeans. Watch the size charts: jeans run from 28 to 34, the Zip Sweat 1.0 JPN from S to L, and some tailoring pieces such as the Coat 1.0 or the Pants 6.0 come in Italian sizes, from 46 to 50.
The best starting point therefore remains your usual size, then the measurement guide on the product page. If you hesitate between two sizes, look first at the stated cut: regular, relaxed, boxy or wide tell you more than a simple S, M or L. And if you are in Rennes, trying it on in store remains the surest method.
How to wear Another Aspect
The main appeal of Another Aspect is that the clothes do not impose a uniform. They work as a base instead.
Everyday. T-Shirt 3.0 JPN, straight Jeans 1.0, Cardigan 2.0 and loafers. A simple silhouette where the fabrics do the work.
Relaxed tailoring. Suit Pants 2.0 Grey Melange, white t-shirt or fine knit and sneakers. The dress trousers become an everyday piece.
Japanese layering. Zip Sweat 1.0 JPN or Overshirt 1.0 JPN, wide trousers and a more structured shoe. The Japanese fabrics bring enough texture to keep a very sober palette.
The Aura mix. Another Aspect works very well with the minimalism of mfpen, a pair of G.H. Bass or a technical layer from nanamica.
Aura x Another Aspect: La Marinière
Our relationship with Another Aspect does not stop at stocking the brand.
On 27 June 2026, Aura and Another Aspect released together La Marinière, our first collaboration: a long-sleeve t-shirt in Japanese cotton, made in Japan in a limited edition of 50 pieces.

Why Aura selects Another Aspect
Because Another Aspect does not try to make the most spectacular garment on the rail. The brand tries to make the one you will actually put on again.
We find in it several things that matter to Aura: proportions rather than logos, fabric rather than effect, and real attention to where each garment is made.
