Kamakura Shirts est une marque de chemises japonaise fondée en 1993 à Kamakura par Yoshio et Tamiko Sadasue, tous deux anciens de la maison VAN Jacket, pionnière du style Ivy League au Japon dans les années 60.
L'histoire commence au-dessus d'une supérette, avec une ambition simple : rendre la chemise de qualité accessible.
Toute la production est réalisée au Japon, avec des coutures rabattues à l'aiguille simple, du coton 100% en fil 100 (jusqu'à 200-300 pour les pièces les plus nobles), des boutons en nacre naturelle et des entoilages non thermocollés.
Kamakura Shirts travaille en direct avec ses filatures et ses ateliers de confection japonais, sans intermédiaire, ce qui permet de proposer un niveau de fabrication proche du sur mesure à un prix bien en dessous du marché.
La marque n'a jamais fait de soldes, fidèle à sa philosophie héritée de la tradition marchande japonaise. Disponible à Rennes chez Aura Store et sur notre e-shop.
